LDR Companion stores your messages, notes, moods, photos, videos and other shared content so two people can keep a private space together. Please confirm the following:
Last updated: 2026. This policy explains what LDR Companion ("the app") collects, why, and the choices you have. The app operator ("we") is the data controller — replace this line with your legal entity name and a contact email before launch.
To provide the app's core features — your consent (given on first run) and the performance of our service to you. AI features (date ideas, coaching, memory chapters, etc.) send the relevant room content to our AI provider to generate a response.
Moods, dream logs and relationship reflections can reveal sensitive aspects of your life. We process them only to power the features you use, never for advertising or profiling, and never sell them.
Data is kept for as long as your room exists. Deleting your data (see section 7) removes it immediately. Inactive rooms may be removed after a prolonged period of inactivity.
Access to room data is restricted by row-level security to the devices that are members of that room. Transport is encrypted (HTTPS). No system is perfectly secure — please use a strong, private room code.
Depending on your jurisdiction (GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, PIPA, APPI, LGPD and others) you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your data, and to withdraw consent.
The app is not intended for children under 16. By using it you confirm you meet the minimum age, or have parental/guardian consent where a lower age applies.
